History
themakeupshop!
opened in 1991 and is located in Chelsea, NYC. Tobi’s
original plans were to open a makeup artist training center, but having a ground
level store front encouraged her to create a makeup salon as well. Today, in
addition to being a training center,
themakeupshop!
is a combination makeup
salon, and workshop laboratory offering custom blended cosmetics, Tobi’s own
line of makeup products as well as a full line of top tier professional products
that are not only available to professional make-up artists, but to “real women”
as well.
